Andreas Wistuba
P.S. That is my son Leander with a big Myrmecodia brassii while traveling Irian Jaya this summer. Some people were quite sceptic hearing that we took a child to such a remote place. He enjoyed it a lot and we had a great time. It was so good that we'll return in 2016 - again as a family expedition
Stone Jaguar
Dear Andreas: Happy Holidays to you and your family as well! Thanks always for the incredible patience and generosity that you have shown with the forum and the wonderful plants that you have shared over past years. Your son is extremely lucky to have experienced Papuan wilderness at such a young age. I also used to take my young daughter to my field sites in remote cloud forests of Guatemala to mist net and band birds and she loved and still treasures both the experience and the magic time spent together in the wilds with her viejo. It is my experience that children that are raised as special, precious crystals end up being "special, precious crystals"...and not in a good way, either Jay
