Derrick
Dr Huxley-Lambrick uses this name for a species that she claims is somewhat intermediate between Hydnophytum & Myrmecodia. It is a new name to me! Does anyone have further leads?
Philman
http://repository.naturalis.nl/document/565540 PDF p15ff deals with Anthorriza stevensii Huxley & Jebb, spec. nov. In the last part it is somehow related or compared to Myrmecodia hydnostipula Huxley(1981). "Large orbiculare stipules" are described as charateristic. The drawing on page 15 shows what those stipules are. I don't really understand from this document, if A.stevensii Huxley & Jebb is a new name for M.hydnostipula Huxley or if they are seperate? Derrick
Thank you Philman. Yes, they are one and the same. It seems that originally, Anthorrhiza stevensii was considered a Myrmecodia.
