Derrick
http://www.narcis.nl/publication/RecordID/oai%3Anaturalis.nl%3A319066 New Zealand has a few species of these unusual species that are commonly known as velvet worms, so I have a little experience of them in our forests. I think they are cute little carnivores. Not that they are worms although in phylogenetic terms not they are not that distant. They belong in their own Phylum Onychophora. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peripatus.
