Hydnophytum longipes or H. guppyanum?

Recommended Posts

H. longipes Merr. & L. M. Perry in Journal of the Arnold Arboretum, vol 26, pp23/4, (1945).

Considered to be in the same group as H. normale and H. radicans.(J. Arnold Arbor.)

Range. Record, Bougainville Island; Kieta, common in lowland tropical rain forest at sea level. (Stems) to 1 m long, flowers minute, green, with prominent style, fruit yellow, semi-transparent, oval, 7mm long, 4mm Ø. Kajewski's type specimen surely represents H. guppyanum as now accepted.

have you  the picture of their tuber , their flower ( anthers-stigma -etc) .

for me an identification is not done only on the leaves

like the others a fresh specimen (even in picture) is also a very good information.
