Record, Bougainville Island; Kieta, common in lowland tropical rain forest at sea level. (Stems) to 1 m long, flowers minute, green, with prominent style, fruit yellow, semi-transparent, oval, 7mm long, 4mm Ø. Kajewski's type specimen surely represents H. guppyanum as now accepted.
