Andreas Wistuba
Myrmecodia lamii, at least for me, is the most impressive of all members of the Hydnophytinae. 2 plants fairly exposed on a tree near Lake Habbema (West Papua)
Nils S.
Hello Andreas, what a great picture - I already saw a lot of them on facebook, but this one is really impressive. Sometimes the plants seem to ignore the laws of physics. Can you say something about the altitude, where you found M. lamii? Greetings Nils

Greetings Nils Hi Nils, welcome to the new forum Myrmecodia lamii grows in alpine regions of West Papua. Lake Habbema where we located these specimens is located approximately 3200 meters asl. On Doormanstop it can be found right on the peak - around 3200 meters as well:
jeff
in the first picture , may be a M.brassii ? the second yes a M.lamii. M.brassii seem to me more epiphyte than M.lamii often terrestrial jeff
