Derrick
Dischidia palawanensis Elm. (Adolph Daniel Edward Elmer) only a suggested name in Leaflets of Philippine Botany vol.10, Notes on Asclepiadaceae (sic.) pp3561/2. (1938/9) (Leafl. Philipp. Bot.). But with no Latin type description hence illegitimate, but it does describe a saccate leafed species that Elmer suggests at bottom of page 3562 has leaves and flowers that differ from D. saccata Warb. http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/762524#page/57/mode/1up Here Elmer suggests comparing this species with D. saccata. http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/762552#page/86/mode/1up . Habitat/Range. In fertile thickets and woodlands at 76.2 m (250 ft.) Philippines, Palawan Island on Puerto Pricesa (Mt. Pulgar).
