Derrick
Squamellaria are endemic to tiny Taveuni Island with one species only, the most common S. imberbis also extending to nearby Vanua Levu island but that is only about 6 k away across narrow Somosomo Strait in the northern Fiji Archipelago. There are no Squamellaria on Viti Levu the large 'gateway' (it has the International airport) southern island.
