  1. For all who are interested to read up on the type description and habitat information. Low et al. (2016) Hydnophytum puffii Sabah, Malaysian Borneo PL.ECOL.EVOL. 149.pdf
  2. The orchid at the base of the ant plant is an Acriopsis species, probably javanica or indica. They are usually found growing with ant plants or with Platycerium ridleyi. The twiggy epiphyte is actually the flower inflorescence of the Acriopsis.
