(Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal) was published in Linnaea 18, (1844) (actually Jun 1845.) This is the legitimate name according to Tropicos (which is wrong) but it is the spelling in the type description. http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/109742#page/436/mode/1up This name was applied in error to a type specimen that was actually a specimen of already published T. streptophylla Scheidweiler ex Morren (1836). http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/kew-268769. The error was found by Wilhelm Weber and recorded in the Journal of the Bromeliad Society Los Angeles, Ca. (1982) (J. Brom. Soc.). Which may make the following name the currently correct one but only if a new type description was published, but I have no access to the publication. Tillandsia circinnata (various Auct non Schltdl) L. B. Sm. (Lyman Bradford Smith) in Flora de Venezuela 12(1) p207 (1971). This is a list of synonyms according to L. B.
